Writing SF and Fantasy novels – how to turn ideas into a finished novel
Darius Hinks has been writing Warhammer fiction for over twenty years. He has written some of the most successful Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar novels, as well as writing several novels set in the Warhammer Old World. His fiction covers legendary characters such as Gotrek Gurnisson and Mephiston of the Blood Angels to more obscure subjects, such as the Blackstone Fortress. Darius will be discussing the process of adapting and creating Warhammer characters for novels and talking about how Games Workshop’s miniatures, games and artwork inspire his fiction. He will also be describing the basics of his novel-writing process, from pitching ideas and writing a synopsis to plotting, working around stumbling blocks, creating interesting characters and producing a finished novel.
