Gene Luen Yang

Gene Luen Yang is an American comics artist hailing in China, born in California in 1976. During the Elementary School, he developed the desire to become a Disney animator, but his ambition changed when he purchased his first comic: the number 57th of the Superman Present DC Comics Series. Encouragedby his father, Yang graduates and starts working as an informatic engineer, setting aside temporarily his artistic job. However, in 1996 started creating and publishing personally his comics. Some of his works have won several awards, granting him fame and a great success.
