Furuya Usamaru

Furuya Usamaru

He was born in Tokyo 1968. He graduated in oil painting at the Tama Academy. As he became interesting in sculpture and butoh dance, in 1994 Faraya debuted on the pages of the remarkable underground magazine Garo con Palepoli, granting him an instant success. This convinces Furuya to dedicate himself fully to the manga world, abandoning his career of art teacher. From then, he has published some of his series on the Japan most specialised magazines, such as Happiness, Genkaku Picasso, Suicide Club and No Longer Human, the latterinspired by the work of the writer Dazai Osamu.

Furuya Usamaru comes back at Lucca Comics & Games, after his strongly applauded participation of the last year. This great mangaka is the first name of an exceptional Japan trio of authors. Furuya will be the protagonist of many events and will show the “51 ways to save her”, that will be released on occasion of the Lucca C&G.
