Gou Tanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1975, Gou Tanabe received the jury award at Afternoon Shikisho in 2001 and an honorable mention at Enterbrain Entertainment Awards in 2002.
Since 2004, with his adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's The Outsider, Tanabe has dedicated his career to the transposition into manga of the famous American author’s works.
In Italy, J-POP Manga has published his masterful interpretation of The Dunwich Horror, The Shadow over Innsmouth, The Call of Cthulhu, The Shadow Out of Time, At the Mountains of Madness, The Haunter of the Dark, The Colour Out of Space, The Hound and many other stories.
His work, known for its extremely high quality, has earned him several international awards, including various nominations at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
The Shadow over Innsmouth has been nominated for Eisner Awards 2024.
