Yamada Sansuke

Yamada Sansuke was born in 1972. He graduated from Osaka University of Arts, after which he signed manga and illustrations for a wide set of publication. He firstly affirmed himself in the gay manga world through Sabu and Samson magazines. However, he showed the true himself in 2013 with Areyo Hoshikuzu (Polvere di Stelle), that, in 2019, received the Osamu Tezuka Prize, the Japan Cartoonist Association Award as well as the Prix Asie ACBD, gave by the French critique. He is an actor and a singer as well. 

Yamada Sansuke, one of the most interesting manga authors, come at Lucca Comics & Games for the first time. On this occasion will be released a preview of the two final volumes of his acclaimed series Areyo Hoshikuzu (Polvere di Stelle). Yamada’s Italian and Japanese readers were thrilled and moved by his first seven chapters, which talk about the friendship between two former soldiers.
