Kim Myeongmi

Myeongmi Kim debuted in the comic world by winning the Seoul Munhwasa Comic Contest 2009 edition. This allowed her to publish numerous short and long stories, such as Oh, My Romantic Gumiho and Bongjak Star, on the romantic magazine Wink. In 2006 started the publishing of What is wrong with Secretary Kim?  webtoon. Thanks to it, she became famous among the big audience, becoming an extremely popular artist capable to captivate the audience’s attention through a compelling direction and an appealing drawing. Based on What is wrong with Secretery Kim?  was created a K-Drama on tvN in 2018. Through its success, the comic went from being one of the most representative webtoon of Korea to “global webtoon”, as a synonym of K-webtoon. His comic is now on 11 platforms all around the world, meanwhile the printed edition is published in 6 countries and globally loved as well. In 2020, she made a triumphal come back on Kakao Page with An hour of romance. The series drew the audience attention through a creative plot, an amazing direction and its splendid drawings. It has also been selected to become a K-Drama, scheduled for 2025.
