Zainab Fasiki
Zainab Fasiki, born in 1994 in Fès, is a Moroccan comics author who graduated from the École nationale supérieure d'électricité et mécanique (ENSEM).
She faced the injustices linked to her gender and profession as an engineer since she was young, and she turned to political comics to express her emotions and demands.
Her graphic essay, Hshouma, published in Italy by 001 Edizioni, addresses taboo themes related to sexuality and women's rights and after this work, Time magazine designates her as a leader of the new generation.
In 2022, she was awarded the Couilles au cul prize at the Angoulême International Comics Festival.
