Takoua Ben Mohamed

Takoua Ben Mohamed (born in 1991) is an Italian cartoonist, illustrator, graphic-journalist and videomaker producer of Tunisian origin.

She moved to Rome in 1999 with her mother and brothers to reunite with her father, a political exile who fled the dictatorship of Ben Ali's Tunisian regime.

She is one of the founders of the film production M Collective Ltd, with which she produced her first docufilm, Hejab Style, which was broadcast on Al Jazeera.

Beccogiallo editore has published four of her titles including the autobiographical volumes La rivoluzione dei gelsomini and Sotto il velo.
