Romulo Royo

Pioneering in the fusion of contemporary art painting with fantasy illustration, Romulo Royo´s work has been exhibited in galleries since 2000, and since that year has alternated with editorial publications and exhibitions in art galleries and museums.

His paintings have been exhibited in Kavachnina Contemporary Gallery (Miami) USA, Miguel Marcos Gallery (Spain) Huberty & Breyne Gallery (Brussels) or the XXV Biennial of Alexandria, Museum of Alexandria which later toured to different museums in different countries.

His works are auctioned in well-known auction houses such as Christie’s (Paris), Ketterer Kunst (Munich), Galartis (Switzerland) or the one organized by The Womanity Foundation, with the participation of prestigious galleries such as Gagosian, Miguel Marcos and Aquavella among others. He has also participated in international fairs such as Art Miami (USA), Gige Bejing (China), Art Forum (Berlin), FIAC (Paris), ART International Istanbul, Arco Madrid, etc.

At the same time, he has published his illustrations on covers of novels and comic magazines for the publishers: Eura (Italy), Rad Moskbay (Russia), Bastei (Germany). In books such as Dead Moon and his I Ching cards, published worldwide. He has realized together with Luis Royo the international multimedia project Malefic Time, with several graphic novel books, novels, exhibitions, music, role-playing games, sculptures, card games, etc. He has also created works for the musical Malinche or the recovery of the character Taarna from Heavy Metal magazine (USA).
