Together... in Cosplay
Two are the most eagerly awaited events ever for all cosplayers: the ECG - European Cosplay Gathering, which will be held on Saturday 4 November from 2 p.m. at the Auditorium San Francesco, and the historic Lucca Cosplay Contest, open to all participants, on Sunday 5 November from 2 p.m. in the same evocative location.
And if it has happened to everyone at least once that your costume breaks at the last minute... this year, don't panic: a specialised structure will come to the rescue, where you can find assistance and repair your creations. Another great novelty will be the presence of MAC Cosmetics, which will deploy its best make-up artists at the festival to prepare the cosplayers' make-up in the best possible way.
On the occasion of the celebrations of the 40th anniversary of "The Enchanting Creamy", the cosplay world could not miss the appeal with a themed gathering on Saturday 4 November at 12 noon at the Giardino degli Osservanti, led by the two veteran cosplayers Giorgia Cosplay and Letizia Cosplay. Still on the theme of celebrations, a tribute will be proposed on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who. Mega gathering also for DC Comics characters, in collaboration with Gotham Shadows, with the special participation of festival super guest Jim Lee.
A must for everyone is the Elf's Den, which for the occasion will be transformed into the Cosplay Tavern, an essential meeting point that will offer fantastic prizes for the traditional cosplay contest.
For lovers of the Batman, the new pavilion in Via Bacchettoni will make its debut, with exclusive installations and set-ups realised in collaboration with Gotham Shadows.
On Friday 3 November, the great event "One Piece Day Gear Fifth Gathering" together with Toei: three episodes of the anime dedicated to Rufy's latest transformation will be screened at the Cinema Centrale, with a city parade to follow. Also in collaboration with Toei, there will be the "Onigashima Treasure Hunt" with the participation of One Piece-themed cosplayers and lots of prizes.
The cosplay photoshoots in exclusive locations will also be back, with Marco Tramonte of the Obiettivo Cosplay association bringing together the best Italian and European photographers to compete with national cosplayers of the highest level.
