Japan

Japan once again confirms itself as the most kureiji area of the event: this year the Polo Fiere ‘spreads its wings’ and sees a further increase in exhibition space with two pavilions of about 600 sqm. each, for a total of more than 100 exhibitors and shops selling action figures, gadgets, accessories, typical clothing and articles of Japanese culture, and a Lounge Area that will allow the public to spend some time relaxing, immersed in the Japanese atmosphere, with the main attraction being Japan Live, the legendary stage on which the events, meetings and shows of the cultural programme will alternate, which can be enjoyed comfortably seated on an expanse of tatami.

Logistics will also be enhanced, with access to two longer car parks with 1,200 reservable parking spaces for the public. Shuttles will be increased, with improved numbers, frequencies, capacities and routes, as well as new signposting and signage for those arriving at the Exhibition Centre on foot. A Ticket Office and Welcome Desk will also be present.

Welcoming the public to Japan Town, right at the entrance to the Pavilion, could only be the exhibition dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the famous anime ‘The enchanting Creamy’, curated by Giorgia Vecchini and in collaboration with Studio Pierrot.

On the first floor, a Screening Room will allow visitors to watch the latest editorial releases and Japanese anime classics, and a Meeting Room will offer numerous conferences and panels dedicated to traditional Japan and pop culture. In the second room on the first floor, there will be the Japan Community area, which has become a meeting point for the various groups and associations revolving around the Japanese universe. Also on the first floor, there will be a real classroom where the Manga Schools present at the festival will offer all day long free preparatory and advanced courses for those who dream of becoming mangaka.

At Japan there will be, as usual, plenty of products to satisfy the tastes of all visitors, with many news and exclusive products for Lucca in the field of action figuresand collectables; there will also be some sector sponsors including Uniposca and a large space dedicated to the world of vintage toys.
