Sonic moves to Lucca
Plaion, developer, publisher, distributor and world leader in entertainment - in collaboration with the LEGO® Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of gaming materials with its iconic bricks - is delighted to open the doors of the Casermetta San Paolino to all visitors of Lucca Comics & Games 2023 to offer a magical experiential journey into the universe of the world's best-loved blue hedgehog and to celebrate the launch of the latest videogame in the franchise, Sonic Superstars, available from October 17th in physical and digital versions on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™ and PC.
All Sonic fans will be able to breathe in the atmosphere, energy and liveliness of the much-loved blue hedgehog in a multimedia context within a unique location, completely customised for the occasion and renamed "Sonic House", with lots of interactive activities for young and old to try their hand at and many other fantastic surprises.
Those who can't wait to get their hands on Sonic Superstars, from 1st November 2023 will be able to hurtle at full speed towards the Casermetta San Paolino in Lucca, where they will find various PlayStation®5 stations, set up for two players, to enjoy Sonic's new adventure in the company of a friend.
At the entrance of the "Sonic House", guests will be able to admire four display cases that will enclose the fabulous collection of LEGO® Sonic The Hedgehog™ sets. In fact, with this brand new line from the LEGO Group, it is possible to build and play with Sonic, Tails, Amy and Dr Eggman in the most iconic levels, such as Sonic's Speed Sphere, Tails' laboratory, Tornado Plane, Amy's Animal Rescue Island and the iconic Green Hill Zone.
In the 'Sonic House' thanks to the collaboration with the LEGO® Group, visitors of all ages will also be able to play with the beautiful LEGO® Sonic The Hedgehog™ sets in the "LEGO® Lab" area, a space entirely dedicated to activities with the iconic bricks.
Those who would like to relax or pass the time before starting a fun session in the "LEGO® Lab" will be able to do so inside a special relaxation area in which a mini-cinema with seats will be set up, showing every day "Sonic: The Movie" at 11 am and "Sonic 2: The Movie" at 4.30 pm, as well as many trailers and videos dedicated to the brand Sonic The Hedgehog™.
In the "Sonic House" the host will take care of everything and won't let his guests leave without a special souvenir! A truly unique photo opportunity will in fact make the visit unforgettable, thanks to the presence of a dedicated themed corner.
At the end of the magical journey into the universe of Sonic The Hedgehog™, inside the location, it will be possible to buy everything you tried in the dedicated store: the Sonic Superstars video game, LEGO® Sonic The Hedgehog™ sets, DVDs or Blu-Rays of "Sonic: The Movie" and "Sonic 2: The Movie", Sonic merchandise and some exclusive hardware from the HORI catalogue.
