Guest: Kim Bo-young
The Asian science fiction and imaginary world still hasan increasingly important rolein the cultural schedule of Lucca Comics & Games.
After the 2022 Chi Ta-Wei’s Chinese science fiction, the 2023 festival will host the multi-award winning Korean author Kim Bo-young. She was Bong Joon-ho’s consultant (the director who won an Oscar for Parasite) for the film Snowpiercer (2013), Joon-ho’s first English film debut that was based on the post-apocalyptic science fiction graphic novelSnowpiercer, conceived by Jacques Lob and Jean-Marc Rochette.
The author will be in Italy for the launch of the Italian version of her new book On the Origin of Species and Other Stories – already selected for the 2021 National Book Award – published by ADD Editore, thanks to the Literature Translation Institute of Korea (LTI Korea) contribution.
