Brian Sibley
Brian Sibley is a noted writer and broadcaster, best known as an authoritative chronicler of fantasy cinema and literature. He is celebrated for his work on the BBC’s epic 1981 radio serialisation of The Lord of the Rings, as well as books about the maps of Middle-earth and the making of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. In 2022 he was the recipient of the Tolkien Society’s ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ and most recently edited The Fall of Númenor.
Other books include titles devoted to the history of Walt Disney Productions, Aardman Animation and the Harry Potter franchise as well as biographies of Peter Jackson, C. S. Lewis and the Reverend W. Awdry, creator of Thomas the Tank Engine.
