Emilio Cozzi

Emilio Cozzi is a journalist, author and consultant.

He writes regularly for Il Sole 24 Ore, Wired Italia, L'Espresso and for Italian Tech, magazines for which he writes about space, technology and videogame culture. He is the author of essays on the geopolitics of Space published, among others, by the "Istituto per gli studi di politica internazionale - ISPI" (Institute for International Political Studies).

Since 2019 he has directed the space economy section of Forbes Italia and is the author and host of Forbes Space Economy, a television broadcast dedicated to the space economy broadcast on Sky 511. From 2015 to 2019 he edited the gaming section of Red Bull Italia and wrote The Italian Gamers, the first documentary dedicated to the Italian export scene.

From 2020 to 2022 he was a communication consultant for the former astronaut of the European Space Agency (ESA), Paolo Nespoli. In 2020 he was scientific consultant for the documentaries Starman and Space Beyond, both dedicated to the "Beyond" space mission of the ESA astronaut, Luca Parmitano.

Since November 2021 he has been the author and host of Space Walks, a space dissemination show broadcast on Rai 4.

At the beginning of 2022 he is the voice and author of the Astrowired podcast, awarded as "Revelation of the Year" by Amazon Music.

He is currently working on the upcoming second season.

During the year, he is also the testimonial of UNICEF Italy for an educational project in collaboration with Il Cielo Itinerante and the European Space Agency.

In 2023 he moderated the Space-2Connect European conference of ESA and participated in the documentary Materia Viva, an awareness-raising project on the topic of the climate crisis and the management of waste of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). The documentary will be broadcast on Rai 3.

Among his books: I tell you a film (with Roberto Escobar, 2005, Raffaello Cortina Editore), I am Pow3r (2020, Magazzini Salani), The exploration of space (2021, The Sciences/ La Repubblica) and Space for the Future (2021, Bfc Books-Telespazio/ Leonardo). In 2024, the publication of his new book is expected for Il Saggiatore.
