At this year’s Lucca Comics & Games, the large monographic pavilion in Piazza San Michelewill be dedicated to the Master Yoshitaka Amano, the artist behind the trilogy of posters inspired by Giacomo Puccini. A 150-square-meter space, with an exclusive shop, will be entirely dedicated to the artist who belongs to the Olympus of Entertainment and Contemporary Mythology Artists.

In addition to the Amano Corpus Animae exhibition - the first and largest European retrospective dedicated to him, for celebrating of his 50-year career, produced by Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with the Municipality of Milan, and scheduled from November 13th, 2024, to March 1st, 2025, at Fabbrica del Vapore - Yoshitaka Amano will be the star guest of this year's Lucca festival. A true "Butterfly Effect." At the theater, a group of backers who supported the Kickstarter campaign, those who wished to leave their name in the Master's history, will also be present. It will also be possible to follow this moment in Piazza San Michele, where a large LED wall will broadcast the live opening ceremony and the unveiling of Amano's third artwork, which will complete one of the pavilion's facades, alongside the other two posters.

Available in the pavilion store is also a special artbook, in both regular and deluxe editions, featuring an introduction signed by the Master Yoshitaka Amano himself and includes a special contribution by Michael Moorcock, who has previously stated that the Japanese master captured the essential spirit of his characters better than anyone else. It also features insights from Amano Corpus Animae exhibition curator Fabio Viola (a cultural collaborator for Lucca Comics & Games' videogame area) and the director of Lucca Comics & Games, who delves into the details of the collaboration with sensei for this year’s festival and explores the archetype of femininity present in his art.
