The wait is over!

The ticket sale for the 2024 edition of Lucca Comics & Games: The Butterfly Effect is officially open. From Wednesday, September 4th at 10:00 AM it will be possible to purchase daily tickets and subscriptions until we reach a maximum of 80,000 entry tickets per day.
YOUR ADVENTURE AT LUCCA COMICS & GAMES STARTS HERE!
Tickets for the 2024 edition of the festival and their details are available in the dedicated section of the website. Tickets on sale are:
- Print@home tickets – Stampa@casa (i.e. the ticket/subscription is sent by e-mail, and you need to pick up your bracelet at the Welcome Desk).
- eTickets (i.e. the digital ticket that you will have to show on your smartphone, which still includes pick-up of the bracelet at the Welcome Desk).
- Fantickets (only available from today, September 4th), i.e. the traditional cardboard ticket “to collect”: a daily ticket available only with the purchase of the "Skip the Welcome Desk" service, which allows you to receive at home both the Fanticket and the bracelet.
- All subscriptions (who buys the 3, 4 and 5-day subscriptions will receive the ticket and the corresponding bracelets directly at home, reducing waiting times in Lucca).
The method of delivery changes according to the type of ticket:
- By express courier (together with the bracelet): daily Fantickets; 3, 4 and 5-day subscriptions; daily tickets and 2-day subscriptions with "Skip the Welcome Desk" option.
- eTicket: it will be available directly on your smartphone.
- Print@home: the ticket/subscription must be printed directly by the buyer.
UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR 18-YEAR-OLDS AND TEACHERS: BONUSES AND TEACHER CARD
All ticket and subscription types can be purchased from the TicketOne website with Bonus Cultura or 18App and with Teacher Card. It is an important occasion to take full advantage of these initiatives promoted by the Ministry of Culture and an opportunity that enhances the recognized cultural value of the event, in all its areas. All details and procedures are available on the dedicated website.
These options are available only until October 13th, 2024, to allow for appropriate ministerial verifications.
WELCOME DESK AND BRACELETS: YOUR “LUCCA EXPERIENCE” IS ABOUT TO START
There are 6 Welcome Desks, and they will be visible on the map that will be published in the coming weeks; they will be open from October 30th to November 3rd from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM.
To support festival visitors who will be in the city from the evening before the first day of the event, the two Welcome Desks located on the walls of Lucca (San Regolo bastion and Santa Croce bastion) will be also open on October 29th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Those who purchase a 2-day subscription or single tickets for multiple days of the festival without using the “Skip the Welcome Desk” service, will be able to pick up all the bracelets when going to the Welcome Desks for the first time, without having to return on the following days.
For those who purchase a 3, 4 or 5-days subscription, the shipping of the bracelets at home is included, as well as the "Skip the Welcome Desk" service.
The shipping of tickets and subscriptions with “Skip the Welcome Desk” will start from September 16th: as soon as the shipment is made, the buyer will receive an email with the courier’s track number. Each day will be identified by a bracelet of a specific color, which is needed to enter all paid festival areas.
TOGETHER IS BETTER: GROUP TICKETS AND PARTIES
Groups and parties of at least 20 people can access the dedicated website for the purchase at a reduced price of subscriptions and daily tickets with the respective bracelets, which will be sent in a single shipment to the person in charge of the group. When the total of 20 people has been reached, they will be given a complimentary ticket (the 21st). This way it will not be necessary to present yourselves at the Welcome Desks to pick up the bracelets during the days of the event.
BARRIER-FREE: COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
People with disabilities can receive complimentary (daily) tickets in advance, by accessing the dedicated website. On the website – which will be active from September 4th at 10:00 AM – you must enter the required documentation attesting disability. It will be possible to access several options:
- Daily complimentary ticket with Stampa@home (Print@home), or daily complimentary ticket with Stampa@home (Print@home) and purchase of a reduced ticket for the accompanying person (these choices include the pick-up of the bracelet at the Welcome Desk during the festival; volunteers on site will be available to provide support for the pick-up of tickets and bracelets).
- Daily complimentary ticket with “Skip the Welcome Desk” option, or daily complimentary ticket with “Skip the Welcome Desk” option and purchase of a reduced ticket for the accompanying person (these choices include shipment of the ticket(s) and bracelet(s) directly at home, by paying the shipping fee indicated on the website).
This opportunity exists in addition to the possibility, during the festival days, to request directly on site – at the ticket offices or at the Croce Verde of Lucca – the complimentary daily tickets for people with disabilities and reduced ticket for their accompanying person. This option will always be guaranteed, even if the 80,000 daily tickets are sold out.
A WELCOME TO THE YOUNGEST: FREE ENTRY FOR CHILDREN UNDER 10
As every year we renew our welcome to the little ones. Children born from January 1st, 2015, will enter free of charge, if accompanied by at least one adult with ticket/subscription and bracelet.
BUS + TICKET OPTION: TRAVEL WITHOUT WORRIES
For those who do not want to use their car even if they come from far, for those who do not have a driver’s license or simply want to get directly from their city to Lucca without having to worry about anything, in 2024 we offer again the unmissable option “Eventi in Bus” that includes the daily ticket combined with the trip to/from Lucca. This option also includes shipment of the corresponding bracelet, without the necessity to go to the Welcome Desk. The purchase of this type of ticket is available on the official website of the event (TicketOne) and on the dedicated website.
PARKING LOTS: PLAN YOUR STAY IN THE CITY
In the coming days, the services of reservation of parking spaces managed by the company Metro-Lucca Plus, with which Lucca Comics & Games collaborates, will also be activated at this link.
GREAT MUSIC ON LIVE: CONCERTS
The Music Area will offer a rich program both in the afternoon and evening, for all 5 days: in the afternoon from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM you can access the shows with the ticket and bracelet valid for that day.
The evening concerts from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM will be accessible with the ticket or subscription valid for that day but prior reservation through the official channels of Lucca Comics & Games is required. No additional or supplementary tickets are available. All the booking procedures for each event will be announced in the coming weeks.
PRE-BOOKED EVENTS WITH A LIMITED NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS
Pre-booked events (such as meet and greet with authors, special shows, workshops, book signings organized by the festival, concerts...) will be periodically added both on the website of the 2024 edition and the app, specifying the need to make a reservation to participate. The need to make a reservation will also be communicated through the social media channels of Lucca Comics & Games. Reservations will also be available via the official “LuccaCG24 Assistant” app and only for holders of a valid Lucca Comics & Games 2024 ticket.
Events and book signings organized by editors in their venues will be directly managed by the respective publishing houses.
FUN FOR EVERYONE: FREE AREAS
During this edition too, some areas of Lucca Comics & Games will be open to everyone, without the need to have a ticket or bracelet: a chance to get to know the festival, to discover all areas of the city, to expand one's interests, and to let even the younger generations live the Lucca Experience.
Don’t miss out on the places that will represent a catalyst for cosplayers and content creators: Giardino degli Osservanti with the Community Village and the areas dedicated to Cosplay as well as the areas dedicated to groups such as the 501st Italica Garrison, Rebel Legion, Umbrella Italian Division, and Gotham Shadow areas.
One of the most popular spaces for children and youngsters is the Family Palace: once again this year, the Real Collegio will be open to anyone who wants to discover workshops, exhibitions and meetings dedicated to children (but also to parents and teachers who want to discover new publications and explore new educational opportunities).
And for Ninth Art lovers, the Self Area, dedicated to self-productions and underground comics, is not to be missed: Chiesa dell'Agorà and its cloister will host the stands of collectives and independent artists, as well as numerous meetings to get to know all the artistic nuances present at the festival. Chiesa dell'Agora will also be the venue for several meetings open to the public and free of charge to discover all the professionals who are part of the world of comics.
No ticket will be required to enter the Pro Area either, in the spaces in Piazza San Romano, where selected novice writers will have the opportunity to present their portfolios to publishing houses, professionals, Italians and foreigners, through one-on-one meeting opportunities.
Those in search of rare pieces and collector's items will not want to miss the Golden Alley, the rich San Romano pavilion that will host the stands of collectors, art galleries and artists ready to commission or sell their original illustrations.
This edition of Lucca Comics & Games also includes a great novelty for the public: all exhibitions, including those at Palazzo Ducale, will be free of charge (for flow management reasons, dedicated queues may be set up for those with tickets or subscription).
Of course, the entire city remains accessible, with the possibility of enjoying walks along the city walls, except the pavilions in the bastions (whose access will be subject to possession of a ticket or subscription).
HELP DESK AND “LUCCACG24 ASSISTANT” APP: ALL THE ANSWERS IN ONE CLICK
Starting with this edition, a Help Desk service dedicated to visitors has been activated: all main questions related to access, tickets and the program will be answered in the respective sections of the website. In case of specific requests, it is possible to fill out a form that will be taken care of by an operator and receive a reply within a few hours.
One of the tools that has been appreciated the most by the festival audience is back again this year: in the coming weeks, the “LuccaCG24 Assistant” app will be available in all digital stores, with updates and additional features. A practical travel companion, which can also be used offline, downloaded in 2023 by thousands of users has now been optimized to allow the community to fully enjoy the magic of the festival and its countless events. Thanks to the app, it will be possible to:
- Consult the interactive map.
- View the entire program up-to-date and save your own personalized itinerary.
- Book the most popular appointments.
- Receive push notifications about meetings (including possible changes).
- Receive live information about changes to the transportation system or related to public order and security.
