Alongside with revisiting the past of Dungeons & Dragons, Lucca Comics & Games cannot help but look to the future of the game, starting with an exploration of its present. who better to do so than the one who write the game's present every day? That's why Jeremy Crawford, lead rules designer of Dungeons & Dragons and lead designer of the new 2024 Player's Handbook, will be attending the festival.
The appointment for Dungeons & Dragons fans is at Baluardo San Paolino, one of the focal points of the 50th anniversary celebrations of D&D. This is where the Dungeons & Dragons stand will be located, with the casermetta area set up as a sales point and a place where fans can meet some of the artists who have recently shaped D&D's history with their work, such as illustrator Katerina Ladon. Of course, there will also be a gaming area, with D&D sessions led by those who daily live and share the gaming experience with their community. Content creators like InnTale, Dr. Morgan, D20 Nation, and Wikirole will be present.
At the sales area, fans will have the opportunity to purchase in advance the highly anticipated Italian edition of the upcoming manual Vecna: L'Alba della Rovina and the 2024 Dungeon Master’s Guide in English, available in limited quantities. Additionally, it will be possible to pre-order the new 2024 Player’s Handbook in Italian, with an exclusive 50th anniversaryD&D die as a gift for those who place a pre-order. If that wasn't enough, the sales point will also offer the exclusive 50th anniversary t-shirt, available only at Lucca, as well as apparel from the Octopus X D&D Capsule collection.
Finally, we are pleased to announce that Lucca Comics & Games has been awarded the title of Premium Organizer for the renowned Dungeons & Dragons Adventurers League, a title previously granted to only four other organizing entities worldwide. On Saturday, November 2nd, during the Adventurers League Epic event, it will be possible to play the original adventure created for the occasion by Lucca Comics & Games in collaboration with its longtime partners, The Agency and Kraken APS. The adventure will later be made available on the Dungeon Masters Guild website.
