The new app LuccaCG24 Assistant is now available
The new version of “LuccaCG24 Assistant”, the official app of Lucca Comics & Games, has arrived. A practical travel companion that also works offline, meant to allow the festival’s large community to fully enjoy the magic of the event.
Its distinguishing features have been improved and new ones have been introduced: the program will be easier to consult, you can select and share your favourite events to reach them more easily with estimated travel and wait times. “LuccaCG24 Assistant” will send you live push notifications, alerts 30 minutes before the start of every favourite event, notifing you when new events and news are added. The app will also notify you about any traffic changes.

“LuccaCG24 Assistant” welcomes users with a Home Page that includes every latest update, as well as useful information such as weather forecasts. The notification centre allows retrieval of all communication made through the app, in order to not miss any of them. From here you will be able to access every other section: Events, Map, Reservations, and User. You will see the map with all the pavilions and meeting rooms to easily reach events. You can also book and view the tickets for events by reservation organised by Lucca Comics & Games, thanks to integration with Eventbrite. As last year, the app also becomes a tool to create groups based on selected events and personal interests, thus organising your participation with old and new friends. All the FAQs and the Help Desk will be at your fingertips.
A MAP CAPABLE OF MAGIC
The map of “LuccaCG24 Assistant” has been completely redesigned, compared to its previous version: filters are clearer, as are the icons, which have been redesigned to better identify locations, Info Points, Welcome Desks, ticket offices, events (through the “events” filter in the map, it is possible to view all the meeting rooms in which events are being held or will be held that day and read their details), exhibitions, parking lots, shuttles, places to eat, fountains and shops. Thanks to the convenient search bar you can directly find meeting rooms, pavilions, exhibitors and comfortably consult pavilions specific maps, calculating the distance from your location and the waiting time to access the place of interest. But the true magic lies in the “intelligent map” option: by clicking the “Wizard” button, in fact, you’ll be able to adjust the map to show the most useful information as you use it. The Wizard, with his magical power, will show you the most relevant points of interest on the Map at that moment, adapting to the times of the day: highlighting, for example, parking lots, ticket offices and Welcome Desks in the morning, or places to eat and fountains during lunch time, while in the evening, shuttles, buses and areas that host evening events will appear. If the user prefers adventure and seeks inspiration, they can search for the nearby events about to start and reach them.
THE PROGRAM IN THE PALM OF A HAND
In the “Events” section of the app you will find the official and complete program of Lucca Comics & Games 2024, also available on the website, but with a slight difference. Thanks to “LuccaCG24 Assistant” it is possible to add to your favourite list all the must-see events and to create your personalised schedule in the “My Events” section. Here, events of your interest will be gathered by date and hour. But the “Event” section goes further: in order to help you creating the perfect program and not to miss anything at all, if one or more events of interest take place at the same time, the app will show the travel times between two consecutive events and use a visual alert to indicate the “overlapping ones”. While you will see “event too far” in case the time required to reach the event location is longer than the event’s starting time. In this section you can also find exclusive events dedicated only to Level Up Fans, which can be consulted through the “Level Up” filter. Lastly, for anyone who decides to create a group with friends, it will be possible to see which events have been added to their favourite list, so that during the festival, the whole group will be aware of the events that other members are attending, to join them or even just browse their program.
THE WHOLE LUCCA COMICS & GAMES, ALSO OFFLINE
All the search features of the “LuccaCG24 Assistant” app are also available offline, so that you will be able to enjoy the festival even without the need for an internet connection. Additionally, by downloading the offline map of the city of Lucca from Google Maps or Apple Maps, it will be possible to navigate it even without network availability in Lucca. In the “Map” section a blue dot will appear showing your position!
