Exhibition - They Don’t Look Like Me

In the project They Don’t Look Like Me (curated by Paolo Woods and Kublaiklan), Niccolò Rastrelli explores this phenomenon by traveling through Italy and Kenya to capture portraits of cosplayers alongside their families, often creating ironic contrasts between bourgeois normality and the extraordinariness of a dreamed life.
On the occasion of the 14th edition of the international photography festival Cortona On The Move (July 11 - November 3), the project was presented for the first time, enriched by an additional stop in Japan—the country where cosplay enjoys the greatest popularity—made possible thanks to the idea and contribution of Autolinee Toscane.
The exhibition, with free admission, can be visited at the isybank Pavilion and Auditorium San Francesco in Lucca during the opening days of Lucca Comics & Games.
