For this 2024 edition, QMI is launching a new thematic section, Lucca Comics & Games Horror Nights, for all the anthusiasts of quality tension and thrills, with many previews and special guests.

The event boasts an exceptional “godfather”, Roberto De Feo, director of films acclaimed worldwide such as The Nest and A Classic Horror Story, who will introduce one or more gems of the horror genre, every evening from Wednesday, October 30th to Saturday, November 2nd.

To inaugurate this new cycle, on Wednesday October 30th at 8:00 pm at Cinema Astra, Longlegs. One of the most awaited horror films of the year, directed by Osgood Perkins, who brings a ruthless serial killer hunt to the big screen. Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe play the role of the killer and the FBI agent who handles the case, in this serial killer hunt that takes complex and unexpected turns. The film will be released in Italian cinemas on October 31st, distributed by Be Water Film in collaboration with Medusa Film.

Also on October 30th at 10:00 pm, The Substance (I Wonder Pictures) by Coralie Fargeat is coming, featuring Demi Moore, Dennis Quaid e Margaret Qualley, a powerful and visionary work that captivated the latest Cannes Film Festival.

For Halloween night, a must-see event: a special screening of the 1985 classic Demons at Cinema  Astra at 8:30 PM with the presence of director Lamberto Bava.

The following day, Friday, November 1st, at 8 PM at Cinema Centrale, we have the Italian premiere of The Primevals (Full Moon Entertainment), the posthumous feature film by David W. Allen, a master of special effects. Digitally released by Minerva Pictures in collaboration with Bizzarro Movies, The Primevals takes us back to the adventurous and mysterious atmospheres of 1980s cinema. With exceptional stop-motion work, the film is a tribute to the fantasy genre that will captivate the audience.

In addition to this series of thrills, Lucca Comic & Games 2024 is ready to welcome another great novelty in fantasy cinema with the showcase of 2025 Armageddon by Michael Su (Saturday, November 2nd), also digitally distributed by Minerva Pictures. 2025 Armageddon, presented in collaboration with Full Action, transports the audience to a dystopian future where Earth is ravaged by a global catastrophe. With his adrenaline-pumping direction, Michael Su blends action and science fiction promising strong emotions and spectacular visual effects.

Two different visions, but both powerful, that will offer a unique cinematic experience at Lucca Comic & Games 2024.
