An ideal unites Old and New Continent, with a selection of some of the great international guests who will meet the public for events and signatures over the five days of the festival.

Coming from France, Brice Cossu, Alexis Sentenac, and Xavier Dorison join Edizioni BD and J-POP Manga with Goldrake, the official sequel to Go Nagai's iconic series. Georges Ramaïoli will bring with Segni d'Autore two unpublished volumes of his most successful series, Zululand. Laurent Hopman and Renaud Roche alongside BAO Publishing will be showcasing the Star Wars universe in Lucas’ Wars. Frédéric Pillot, illustrator specializing in works for children and young people, will be at the festival with Logos Edizioni. Fans of Franco-Belgian comics will also be able to explore the stand of Les Humanoïdes associés and discover the publisher's essential contribution to the world of comics with the exhibition dedicated to its magazine Métal Hurlant

Straight from Great Britain comes saldaPress' father/son duo Sean and Jacob Phillips, one winner of four Eisner Awards and a finalist at this year's Lucca Comics Awards, the other author of the noir series Newburn. Another fellow British artist is Zoe Thorogood. With It’s Lonely at the Centre of the Earth, published in Italy by BAO Publishing in 2024, she was brought to the attention of international critics.

The US and Canadian line-ups are also enriched with new elements after the already announced Scott Snyder (guest in collaboration with Star Comics and saldaPress), Tula Lotay (Star Comics), and Kazu Kibuishi (Il Castoro) with his exhibition at Palazzo Ducale. In addition to the already announced Peach Momoko (Japanese-born and for over a decade engaged in US comics, already winner of an Eisner Award), Panini Comics will bring to Lucca a true superstar of the scriptwriting world, Jeph Loeb (author of Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Hush). And again, Daniel Clowes coming for the first time in Italy at Lucca Comics & Games 2024, in collaboration with Coconino Press. Comic artist and illustrator Sweeney Boo is coming from Canada: her work titled Over my dead body will be brought to Luccada Edizioni BD. As promised in the last edition, which featured the highly acclaimed Graphic Novel Theatre project based on his work Blankets, Craig Thompson is coming to Lucca with Rizzoli-Lizard. Illustrator Dustin Nguyen (BAO Publishing) will be present in Lucca with a preview work titled Little Monsters. New York Times bestselling cartoonist, after successful works such as I Hate Fairyland, Skottie Young returns with Ain't No Grave. Also with him is Venezuelan Jorge Corona. And speaking of South America, how could we not mention the Argentinean Carlos Barocelli, who with over 30 years of experience as an illustrator, will be present at the festival with The Passenger of U-Boat 977 (Edizioni Segni d'Autore).

The journey continues touching the shores of North Africa with the artist-activists trio Takoua Ben Mohamed (Beccogiallo), Zainab Fasiki (001 Edizioni) and Deena Mohamed (Coconino Press) who will be at the centre of the already announced exhibition at Palazzo Ducale Kalimatuna: our words of freedom.
