Game of the Year

 Gioco dell'Anno

Lucca Comics & Games hosts the “Game of the Year” and the “Best Role Playing Game” Awards. Both of them aim to become a point of reference for the entire gaming field, for distributors, and for Italian players. The jury will be composed of experts and communicators.

It is a new Award, born in 2013 from the fusion of two historical awards, the Best of Show and Agonistika News Game of the Year. The winners of last year are:

Game of the Year 2013: Augustus by Paolo Mori, published by Oliphante. Because it is intended for a wider public and it can be played by people of all ages. It brings the player - easily and directly - into a world of entertainment and strategy, using long-standing mechanisms of Italian gaming tradition.

Role Playing Game of the Year 2013: Rogue Trader by Ross Watson, published by Giochi Uniti. Because it is a high quality product, rich in details, with a solid game system, accurate settings, and superior illustration. Rogue Trader let players become Merchants Privateers, living dangerous adventures in the dark deep space of Warhammer 40.000.
